Championship Awards For 2009 Announced
$15,000 CHAMPIONSHIP PRIZE FOR 2009

By UDLMCS Media

The big news this week as the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series prepares for a return to East Bay Raceway Park is the Points Fund for 2009. In the first of a series of major announcements expected over the next few weeks, series promoter Ken Kinney has released some big news for next year's competition.

"Why wait until the last minute, when we have such big news?" Kinney quipped on Wednesday. "We are going to award $15,000 in cash and prizes to the 2009 Champion of the series."

The breakdown will be $12,000 in cash and $3,000 in prizes. Sunoco Racing Fuels and Homes of Merit are the two prime sponsors of the 2009 points fund.

Both of these great supporters of the series were instrumental in the success of the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series during the 2008 season, according to Ken Kinney.

"We understand the woes of the racers, the economy being what it is, and felt we needed to step it up", said Kinney. He added, "With the limited sponsorship we have had in the first year and the success we enjoyed throughout the year, we have been encouraged to step it up for 2009".

The series attracted some excellent support from the racing business community in 2008. Southern Style Motorsports, Stellar Apparel, Pace American, and Tommy's Towing & Recovery of Tampa joined major marketing partner Homes of Merit in making the series a hit with fans and drivers in 2008. Other sponsors of the series include Zeigler Racing Engines, Wildcat Performance Engines, Russell Brown Racecars, Racecar Engineering, Raceceiver, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, Bruce's Signs, American Racer and Hoosier Tire.

Central Mobile Homes and Central Sheds and Trailers have also been instrumental from the very beginning in support of the UDLMCS.

Drivers coming to race at East Bay are reminded that mufflers are mandatory.

The United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series will highlight a great show lined up by the management of East Bay Raceway Park on Sept. 27.

Fans will see the United Land Clearing Late Model Challenge 50 lap $3000.00 to win late model show, plus the Motorcycle Mania Bike Show. East Bay Raceway Park Sprints are also on the card, to make the night an action packed fun event for the whole family.
