Ryan Miller just won his first ever race for Lonnie Rush Jr. who was subbing for his dad. It was his dad who had set up the development team for the teams two cars. In the first race at Hickory Speedway, the elder Rush Sr. would put Miller in second place for the first exhibition race of the Old Time procup cars.
But Rush Sr. couldnt attend the second race held this past Saturday at Tri County Speedway in Hudson NC. Seems like Rush had a wedding anniversary.
Ryan Miller won the close race over Larry Wilcox and Dexter Canipe. He had swapped the lead a couple of times and even spun out on the warm up laps. But he was comforted by crewchief/ spotter Rush JR.
In victory lane Rush Jr. would call home to tell the family of its win without dear old dad. He was grinning ear to ear. But the grin wasnt because of winning the race. It was because he may have interrupted something.:smilie_bett: And a smiling Rush Jr. says "It isnt the first time that I have interupted something."
"No seriously this is amazing, this kid can drive and we saw it early. He has a bright future for him."
Look for much more out of this team.
